狗狗是否需要補充鈣磷粉

一、鈣磷粉的補充對正常的狗是否好,不當補充會有甚麼壞處？
二、有CHD的狗吃鈣粉會有什麼樣的問題會發生？

Answer：
If your dog eats good brand commercial dog food , it is not necessary to give additional calcium or phosphate. Too much these two elements will induce some developing bony diseases in young growing dogs.
For CHD dog, if there is active damage of bone which additional calcium will increase the formation of osteophytes(new bone ) and make the 2nd degenerative joint disease getting worse.
Sometimes we will ask CHD dog has more calcium to help to buid up stronger bony condition for Total hip replacement but only if there is no active inflammation and bony damage existing.

只要狗食的牌子夠好，就不需額外添加鈣或磷，太多的鈣和磷，反而對成長中的狗狗造成某些發展性的骨骼疾病。
對有CHD的狗狗來說，如果骨頭仍持續損壞，多餘的鈣就會讓新骨頭增生，導致二度退化性關節疾病惡化。
我們有時候會要求有CHD的狗狗補充鈣，好讓骨頭更強健，為髖關節置換做準備，但只在沒有任何發炎症狀及骨骼損壞問題時。
